5. FIRST AND THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
Whether a cookie is first or third party depends on where it comes from.
First party cookies are set by the website you visit/use.
On the other hand, some content or applications, including advertisements, on the VR Herogs Site are served by third parties, including analytics or advertising companies, ad network and servers, content providers and application providers.
These third parties, including Facebook, may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies such as pixels to collect information about you when you use our VR Herogs Site over which we have no control. These partners use these technologies to (1) help us analyze how you use the VR Herogs Site, such as by noting the third-party services from which you arrived, (2) market and advertise VR Herogs Services to you on the VR Herogs Site and third-party websites, (3) help us detect or prevent fraud or conduct risk assessments, or (4) collect information about your activities on the VR Herogs Site, other sites, and/or the ads you have clicked on. For example, to help us better understand how people use the VR Herogs Site, we work with Google Analytics. Third parties, including Facebook, may also use such tracking technologies to serve ads that they believe are most likely to be of interest to you and measure the effectiveness of their ads both on the VR Herogs Site and on other websites and online services. Targeting and advertising cookies we use may include Google, and other advertising networks and services we use from time to time.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, our VR Herogs Site does not provide any personal data to these third parties, however, they may collect information, including personal data, such as internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this VR Herogs Site. They may use this information so as to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. For information about how you can opt out of receiving targeted advertising from many providers, please see this Cookies Policy and paragraph “Choices About How We Collect, Use and Disclose Your Personal Information” of our Privacy Policy.

Some of our cookies collect data for more than one use. We will only use these cookies for their essential purposes unless you have given your consent to any other uses they have.

For example, we collect information about the device you use to access our website, your operating system type, browser type, domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located. Our server logs also record the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet. An IP address is a unique identifier that devices require to identify and communicate with each other on the Internet. We may also collect information about the website you were visiting before you came to our website and the website you visit after you leave our site. These tools help us improve user experience and deliver our services.

Tags are small pieces of code that can be used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behaviour, track the impact of online advertising and social channels, set up remarketing and audience targeting, and test and optimize websites. We use the Google Tag Manager, a solution operated by Google, that allows VR Herogs to manage so-called website tags (including, for example, Google Analytics and other Google marketing services in our online offering) using an interface. The tag manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process users’ personal data. If you’ve opted out, Google Tag Manager will consider that opt out.
